8/8/08 and the openings started at 8:08

Haha all those eights. For those who didn't watch it, the number eight in China represents prosperity. It's kind of like a lucky number.

I'm somewhat amazed how the 8th of August of 2008 was on a Friday. Would've sucked if it was on some odd day like Wednesday.

Anyways, to my rant. The Opening was very very beautiful, symbolic, and creative. Representing the many years of Chinese history all the way up to modern time. From this event many hope that it will bring together countries to solve future problems. Again with the quote "One World, One Dream." So yeah. It would suck once we have to face those high gas prices and global warming.

Watching those countries go by got kind of boring. Maybe some of you who did watch it probably thought so too. By so far my favorite part from the events would probably be the foot strokes that created the picture.
